WWE Hall Of Famer Reveals What He Wants To See More From AEW AEW

WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT commentator Booker T has revealed what he needs from AEW to “get tapped in.”

Since the start of 2024, All Elite Wrestling has embraced and prioritized a sports based product that focuses on high-quality matches with the best talent possible.

One of the best examples of the company focusing more on sports based presentation was the Continental Classic tournament that featured standout bouts and fun character stories.

On the latest edition of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T revealed what he needs from AEW to “get tapped” into their product. He said:

“I’m looking to see more story and more entertainment from AEW before I can really get tapped in,”

Despite wanting more story from the company, Booker T was complimentary of the recent work leading up to the Sting retirement match on AEW Revolution.

On the February 7 edition of AEW Dynamite, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Ricky Starks and Big Bill to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships in the main event.

Post match, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks attacked Sting and Darby, bloodying the duo and Sting’s sons as well.

On the level of emotional investment being placed into the angle, Booker said:

“I like the things that The Young Bucks are doing right now, wearing the suit and the hats, beating people up creating this thing with Sting and Darby Allin.

“That’s a story that we can grab onto, stuff like that.”

AEW has recently been in the headlines due to acquiring Will Ospreay and the possible arrivals of both Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada.

On wanting much more than just great matches from the trio when they arrive, Booker said:

“You’ve got guys like Will Ospreay and Okada, you’ve got Mone coming in, let’s see what we do with them, let’s see if we can put them in something and really create some good story.

“That’s what I want to see out of all these guys coming in.”
