Another WWE Star Responds To AEW CEO Tony Khan’s Comments About Jinder Mahal WWE, AEW

Another WWE star has responded AEW President Tony Khan’s criticised WWE’s booking of Jinder Mahal on social media.

On Tuesday evening (January 9), Tony Khan ignited a bit of social media drama as he hit back at critics of his booking by throwing a recent WWE decision under the bus.

Khan called out what he felt is ‘double standards’, regarding those questioning his decision to push HOOK to challenge Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship; by comparing it WWE booking Jinder Mahal in a World Heavyweight Championship match on the January 15 Raw.

Khan’s original tweet read as follows:

A double standard:

@730hook 28-1 career record, on winning streak calls out the Champ, a logical challenge sparks online outrage Jinder has literally lost every single match he’s in for the past year, immediately gets title shot, where is the rage

#AEWDynamite TOMORROW on TBS

This led to a response from Mahal himself, who popped up simply to question who HOOK even was in a now deleted tweet.

Mahal wrote:

Who tf is Hook?

WATCH MONDAY NIGHT RAW ON @USANETWORK MONDAY 8PM EST!!!

In the wake of Khan’s tweet, many fans would unite in support of the Modern Day Maharaja as ‘Don’t Hinder Jinder’ would proceed to trend on Twitter.

Before Mahal would post his response however, SmackDown commentator Corey Graves would give his own assessment of the former WWE Champion, posting to Twitter:

Jinder rules.

Graves’ response to Khan’s tweet was fairly tame in comparison to another WWE star who fired back at the AEW CEO in a a far spicier manner.
