AEW commentator Taz has responded to a tweet from WWE’s Jinder Mahal in which he questioned who his son; FTW Champion HOOK is.
In what developed into quite the story on Tuesday evening (January 9), AEW President Tony Khan ignited a bit of social media drama as he hit back at critics of his booking by throwing a recent WWE decision under the bus.
Khan called out what he felt is ‘double standards’, regarding his decision to push HOOK to challenge Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship; a move that has been questioned by some fans, by comparing it WWE booking Jinder Mahal in a World Heavyweight Championship match on the January 15, Raw.
This led to a response from Mahal himself, who popped up simply to question who HOOK even was; Mahal wrote:
Who tf is Hook?
WATCH MONDAY NIGHT RAW ON @USANETWORK MONDAY 8PM EST!!!
Mahal would later delete this tweet, however, not before HOOK’s father Taz could get in on the action by quote tweeting the Modern Day Maharaja’s response, and answering simply:
HOOK.

After HOOK threw out the challenge to Joe on Collision (January 6), Taz would hit back at those who felt he has a ‘death wish’ in doing so; click here to read on.
