Johnny Gargano has opened up about the DIY reunion with Tommaso Ciampa that took place on the October 30 episode of WWE Raw.
The team of Gargano and Ciampa took on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, with highlights below this news story.
Not only would the team be reunited, but they’d also have a new theme and matching ring gear.
Gargano posted a message to Twitter, sharing his thoughts about bringing DIY to the main roster and sharing the design work of Jonathan Davenport, writing:
“When we first started in @WWE in 2016, @CiampaWWE and I often wondered what #DIY would look like on #RAW or Smackdown.
“It took us a while to get to this point but our story is unlike any other and we carry those moments with us.
“Tonight was just the beginning.”
Gargano signed with WWE in July 2016, having made a number of NXT appearances following his June 2015 tryout.
Ciampa would sign with WWE in early 2016, again after making a number of appearances on NXT following his announcement as part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
Ciampa had previous experience of WWE having signed a developmental contract in 2005 and being released from said contract in August 2007.
As DIY, they are former NXT Tag Team Champions, with Ciampa also being a two-time NXT Champion and Gargano being a former three-time NXT North American Champion and an NXT Champion.
