Johnny Gargano has been the victim of mistaken identity recently thanks to R-Truth believing he’s actually Shawn Michaels.
With #DIY (Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) saving R-Truth from a beatdown by Judgment Day, Truth would share his thanks to DX on the February 12 episode of WWE Raw, as can be seen below.
With Truth convinced that he’s been saved by D-Generation X, Gargano has attempted to correct the misunderstanding through Twitter.
Recently, Gargano updated his Twitter bio, as can be seen below, to read “Not Shawn Michaels”.
At the time of writing, Ciampa’s Twitter bio still reads “Tommaso Ciampa”.
Since then, R-Truth has even seen the actual Shawn Michaels only to mistake him for Johnny Gargano, as can be seen below this news story.
#DIY and The Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) have been seen on the Road to WrestleMania WWE Live shows taking on Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh).
