WWE Legend’s Son Breaks Silence After Losing Debut TV Match WWE

A WWE legend’s son has broken their silence after falling short in their first-ever televised match in the company.

At last night’s NXT Roadblock event, many headline grabbing moments such as Trick Williams’ return, William Regal sharing the ring with his son Charlie Dempsey for the first time, as well as a big heel turn taking place.

Amongst those however, was the debut of an exciting fourth-generation prospect – Brogan Finlay.

Finlay, who is the son of WWE and WCW legend Fit Finlay and brother of NJPW star David Finlay – signed with WWE in December 2023, but had not been seen on TV until now – where he competed in his first TV match as a WWE star.

Competing under the new name of Uriah Connors, the 21-year-old competed against the newly returned Shawn Spears – who was competing in his first WWE match in over five years.

Unfortunately for Connors he fell short to Spears in quick and decisive fashion.

However, given his age and promise, it’s very likely much bigger things are to come in his future.

This was a sentiment that Connors conveyed on Twitter after his defeat at Roadblock, defiantly promising that the best is yet to come.

Connors wrote:

I promise you’ll see how I really rock…

As an update, he has changed his social media names to Uriah Connors too, and WWE has trademarked the name, seemingly confirming this will be his permanent WWE ring name and it wasn’t just a placeholder for last night.

Prior to signing with WWE, Connors competed for various promotions on the independent scene, making his debut in April 2021.

As mentioned, there were plenty other big moments from last night’s NXT Roadblock.
