Lyra Valkyria has her eyes on a debut in AAA, naming Reina de Reinas Champion Lady Flammer as her dream opponent to face in Mexico.

Lady Flammer is no stranger to facing WWE stars, with Bayley recently challenging her for the Reinas de Reinas title on the March 14 episode of AAA on Fox.

With Lyra Valkyria sharing a relationship with Bayley, it looks like the young star is eager to follow in her AAA footsteps.

Speaking to Soundsphere, Valkyria shared her hopes to head to AAA, citing growth as one of the reasons she hopes to make the transition, saying:

“I’ve never been to Mexico, so I feel like, oh, it’s a whole new world. The style over there… it’s such a huge element of wrestling that I haven’t even touched.

“Even just in terms of growing as a performer, I would love to go to Mexico. I keep hearing that the crowds there are, like, amazing. The atmosphere is electric.”

Noting that La Catalina and Lady Flammer are making waves over in AAA, it would be the latter that Valkyria has an interest in facing, stating:

“Yeah, maybe Flammer. Maybe her, that would be amazing.”

Potential opponents in WWE were also a topic of conversation in the interview, with Valkyria looking at the possibility of facing Kelani Jordan, possibly in The John Cena Classic.

A former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Valkyria would find herself feuding with Bayley last year, only for their friendship to be very much repaired over past months.

AAA & WWE – A Star-Making Partnership

During the WrestleMania 42 Countdown show back in April of last year, WWE announced the acquisition of the Mexico-based promotion AAA, with crossover shows starting at Worlds Collide, and an exchange of talent between the company’s feeding into the main roster.

For some stars, including Mr. Iguana, the acquisition has led to increased exposure thanks to WWE television appearances, while El Grande Americano has seen a rise in popularity in AAA.

Arguably, one of the standout successes in the partnership between both companies has been Dominik Mysterio as AAA Mega Champion, recently defending that title on WWE Raw, defeating The Original El Grande Americano, in a match that Triple H would describe as historic.

While some may have cast doubts on the influence that WWE could have over AAA, it appears that, under the direction of Triple H, what has happened is the strengthening of a company that sees the likes of The Undertaker in a creative role, bringing the upsides of the production side of the monolithic company to their partner.

With the exchange of talent between both companies, AAA stars are experiencing the WWE audience in a way while, as Valkyria notes, opportunities exist for stars on the main roster and NXT to feel that electric atmosphere over in Mexico.

When the stars align, it gives a whole new world of potential success for the talent in either company to shine even brighter.
