WWE’s Plan For Upcoming Major Premium Live Events Revealed WWE

More details of WWE’s plans for its major Premium Live Events have been revealed following comments made by Nick Khan.

In comments shared by Arash Markazi of The Sporting Tribune, WWE President Khan had revealed that the “big four” PLEs would remain in the United States and Canada.

Markazi reports Khan, during the SBJ World Congress of Sports in Los Angeles, stated:

“Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series will be held in the United States and Canada for the foreseeable future but other premium live events such as Backlash, Elimination Chamber and King of the Ring may take place internationally.”

Dave Meltzer has now provided further insight on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:

“The new plan going forward is that Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money In The Bank, SummerSlam and Survivor Series, they want to do in the US and Canada, with at least three of them being stadium shows.

“All the other pay-per-views they want to sell overseas. So it looks like seven pay-per-views a year no longer in prime time.”

International locations for traditional WWE PLEs have seen Backlash take place in Puerto Rico in 2023 and England host Money in the Bank.

In 2024, Australia was the home of WWE Elimination Chamber with France set to host Backlash this year, and Germany holding Bash In Berlin.

Elsewhere on the WWE Calendar, Scotland will host Clash at the Castle and the company will return to Saudi Arabia for King & Queen of the Ring in May.

Saudi Arabia is also the home of Crown Jewel, a regular PLE that saw its fifth instalment in 2023, with 2020 being the only year the event didn’t take place.

During the SBJ World Congress of Sports, Khan also provided an update on the location for WrestleMania 41.
