WWE management are ‘incredibly impressed’ by two WWE stars following their match over WrestleMania 40 weekend.
WrestleMania 40 weekend kicked off with NXT Stand & Deliver at Wells Fargo Center yesterday, which featured a number of great matches on the show.
One of which was the NXT Championship match, which saw Ilja Dragunov defend the title against Tony D’Angelo.
The match was the first premium live event singles championship opportunity for D’Angelo, and he left an impression on management following his performance, even in defeat.
Taking to Twitter, Triple H reacted to the match, noting that he was ‘incredibly impressed’ with both men following the match.
He wrote:
Incredibly impressed with both @TonyDangeloWWE and @UNBESIEGBAR_ZAR after the war we just witnessed at #StandAndDeliver.
The reign of The Czar lives on… let’s see who steps up next.
NXT Stand & Deliver also saw a title change, when Roxanne Perez became only the third ever two-time NXT Women’s Champion, defeating Lyra Valkyria.
