With only a handful of matches over the past several years, a WWE NXT manager is set to get back into the ring next week.
After Von Wagner lost to Noam Dar in an NXT Heritage Cup Championship bout, there was a backstage scene of the pair chatting.
With Wagner noting that he really lost his cool after he saw Meta-Four being rude to Mr. Stone’s kids who were in the front row for the match, Stone agreed.
With the two adorable tikes in the pre-taped segment again this week, they joined forces with Von Wagner to encourage their Dad to accept a tag team match.
While the kids chanted ‘tag team’ to encourage Robert Stone, he eventually relented and agreed to join Von Wagner next week in taking on Noam Dar and Oro Mensah.
While Stone had a substantive independent wrestling career, he has wrestled in few matches during his time with WWE NXT.
While he competed in two matches during 2023 and 2021, there were 0 in 2022.
You may remember Robert Stone’s singular WWE NXT match in 2020, being beaten by Rhea Ripley.
In the match where he teamed with Aliyah at the Great American Bash, if Ripley had lost the two-on-one bout she would have been forced to join the Robert Stone brand.
