WWE Star’s Dead Brother Used For Heel Turn Storyline WWE

WWE star Maxxine Dupri’s dead brother was referenced in a storyline on tonight’s Raw when a string of insults got very personal.

On tonight’s WWE Raw (March 11) there was a tag team match between Maxxine Dupri & Ivy Nile and Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae.

During the match while Indi Hartwell was down, Candice LeRae came in the ring to interrupt Maxxine Dupri before she landed a signature move.

While she primed for a Maxxine style Worm (similar to Otis’), instead Candice got in between Dupri and Indi.

It was then that LeRae started yelling at Dupri, utilizing real life happenings in the storyline.

LeRae told Maxxine that the girls in the back didn’t like her, and fans have been booing her her because she doesn’t belong in the ring.

However, things went a step further when LeRae went on to add a line about Dupri’s dead brother, telling Maxxine:

“It’s a good job your dead brother isn’t here to see what an embarrassment you are.”

In real life, Maxxine Dupri’s brother Wyatt Zmrzel passed away in 2017 after being killed in an automobile accident.

After a recent video of Maxxine Dupri being booed by fans went viral, her fellow stars came to her defense on social media, praising her work ethic.

While LeRae previously teased a bit of an attitude change on last week’s episode of Raw, tonight’s behavior seemed to have cemented her heel turn.

With Pat McAfee on commentary asking ‘is Candice LeRae the most despicable person in Texas?’, LeRae seemed unbothered that Dupri had run away, crying.

Indi Hartwell pinned Dupri to win the match.
