Update To Backstage Morale After Stephanie McMahon Departs WWE WWE

With today’s shocking news that Stephanie McMahon has resigned from her position with WWE, there has been an update to the backstage reaction.

Thanks to a new report from Fightful Select, we have a little bit more clarity regarding the backstage response to the shocking news that Stephanie McMahon has resigned from WWE.

With WWE sources commenting to Fightful that there is uncertainty from within as to what these moves mean for not only the roster but a prospective sale in the future.

The report notes that several talent reached out to Fightful to communicate confusion, including one that noted Vince McMahon returning to creative may lead to a public backlash from talent.

With Jon Alba Tweeting:

“I’ve had several wrestlers in the last 10 minutes across multiple companies reach out, expressing dismay at the Stephanie McMahon resignation news.

“General consensus from them is it’s bad news for the workers. #WWE”

With further comment coming from Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN who noted:

“Sources: Capped off by the resignation of Stephanie McMahon late this afternoon, the consensus around #WWE in the last few days is disgust, awkwardness and nervousness as people don’t know what’s going to happen next.”
