Chalk this one up to things you wouldn’t expect to read in 2023 but infamous former WWE star Kevin Wacholz (AKA Nailz) has been announced to appear at WrestleCon Detroit on August 5 & 6.
The 65-year-old’s appearance will be his first public showing in decades, with his last in-ring match coming over twenty years ago in 2001.
Not only will Wacholz serve as the lead guest of the convention but he will also be partaking in numerous projects for Highspots.TV across the year, including a three-hour shoot interview where the elusive star will reflect on his career.
Not only that but Wacholz will even be getting his own action figure in collaboration with Highspots.TV, which is modelled after his Nailz gimmick.
While many modern fans won’t be overly familiar with Nailz’ brief WWE run in the early nineties, securing his appearance at conventions such as WrestleCon has been seen as a massive deal considering his disappearance from the public eye.
While Nailz’ WWE run came over thirty years ago, the company have recently found themselves a couple of new ‘convicts’ in Dominik Mysterio and NXT star Tony D’Angelo, who remains ‘locked up’.
Ex-con Dom recently sent a message of support to D’Angelo whilst he enters his fourth week behind bars, to find out more follow this link here.
