A current WWE main roster star returned to NXT to compete at Saturday’s (November 11) house show in Orlando, Florida.
WWE NXT held a non-televised event at the Engelwood Neighbourhood Center, featuring a number of notable stars.
One of these names was Raw star Xia Li, who returned to the NXT brand to team with Kiana James.
Li and James faced off against, and ultimately defeated the team of Karmen Petrovic and NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyra.
Li is currently feuding with Becky Lynch on WWE Raw. She attacked Lynch ahead of the WWE Women’s World Title #1 Contender’s Battle Royal on the most recent (November 6) edition of Raw, causing general manager Adam Pearce to remove her from this match.
On NXT TV this past week, Li was seemingly set up as Valkyria’s first challenger for the NXT Championship.
The results from the show were as follows (via WrestlingBodySlam):
Gigi Dolin def. Arianna Grace
Tatum Paxley and Izzy Dame def. Tylynn Register and Anna Keefer
GALLUS def Dante Chen & Boa, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont – NXT Tag Team Title #1 Contender’s
Bron Breakker def. Eddy Thorpe and Trey Bearhill
Javier Bernal def. Riley Osborne
Lola Vice def. Jade Gentile
Xia Li & Kiana James def. Lyra Valkyria and Karmen Petrovic
Gable Steveson, Josh Briggs, Trick Williams def. Baron Corbin, Bronco Nima, Lucien Price
Xia Li previously faced off against Lyra Valkyra in singles action at Friday’s Lakeland, Florida NXT live event.
WWE has announced that Xia Li will be in action on Monday’s edition of Raw, which you can read more about right here.
