WWE NXT Women’s Champion has shared her honest thoughts on Stand & Deliver being moved away from WrestleMania weekend.
Instead of taking place during the weekend of WrestleMania 42 on April 18 or 19, the 2026 NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event will emanate from The Factory at the District in St Louis on Saturday, April 4.
This will mark the first time Stand & Deliver hasn’t taken place during WrestleMania 42 week since the inception of this NXT event in 2021.
Speaking with Fox News Digital, Jacy Jayne noted that she has mixed feelings about this change, but feels it’s an opportunity for NXT to prove its viability as a true third brand.
The NXT Women’s Champion said:
“I have mixed feelings about it, but I feel like this is the perfect opportunity for us to show that we really are the third brand.
“It’s not just a developmental brand, we can stand on our own, we can sell tickets. We’re not just the future, we’re now.

Sol Ruca expressed a similar sentiment, stating that she feels this is a good opportunity for NXT to prove it can draw its own crowd, even if some people are “a little bummed about it.”
She explained:
“I think it’s pretty cool. I think a lot of us would love to be involved in the whole WrestleMania weekend, but I do think this gives us an opportunity to potentially draw a bigger crowd now that we’re separate because having to go to multiple shows in the same weekend, it can be a lot for the fans.
“I think us having it a little bit separate from everything else and still having our own moment can also be beneficial. I know a lot of us are gonna be at WWE World anyway, so it’ll be kind of like having the two little WrestleMania moments.
“I think some of us are a little bummed about it, but I think it’ll be a good thing for us.”

As mentioned by Jayne and Ruca, this year’s Stand & Deliver has given NXT the opportunity to draw a crowd who are specifically interested in the brand, rather than just being one of many events which fans could attend ahead of WrestleMania.
NXT General Manager Robert Stone also pointed out that, because the show doesn’t need to have an early start time, the NXT talent and crew can prepare for this year’s show as normal, without having an call time really early in the morning.
While it can be argued that less eyes will be on NXT with it being removed from WrestleMania weekend, this change does guarantee that anyone choosing to tune in or attend is interested in seeing what the brand has to offer.
