Cappuccino Jones has announced that his time in the WWE ID program has come to an end.
This past week has been a busy one when it comes to comings and goings in the WWE ID program.
Following on from Monica Monroe and Josiah Jean’s arrivals, Conan Lycan was confirmed as a new WWE ID signee during the October 7 episode of Evolve, while Richard Adonis was handed his own ID contract by Timothy Thatcher during a WWN live event on Monday.
On the other side of the coin, former WWE ID Women’s Champion Laynie Luck and Marcus Mathers both exited the program at the end of their contracts on October 9, with Sam “Hardway” Holloway also taking to social media on Monday to reveal that his time in the WWE ID program had too come to an end.
But it turns out that is not where the departures end, as inaugural WWE ID Men’s Champion Cappuccino Jones has now also confirmed that he has decided to part ways with the program.
Taking to Twitter, Jones wrote:
After 2 years, my time in WWE ID has come to an end, as I’ve decided to part ways.
I’m grateful for all of the knowledge, experience, & wisdom that I’ve attained and will take with me for the rest of my career.
Thank you WWE.
i’m ready for my next cup.
Do ya dig it?
According to PWInsiderElite, Santi Rivera – who signed with the WWE ID program earlier in 2026 – has now also departed, but he has yet to publicly confirm this at the time of writing.
Jones was among one of the original ID signings announced along with Zayda Steel and Bryce Donovan – both of whom also departed the program in 2025.
As mentioned, Jones became the inaugural WWE ID Men’s Champion back in August 2025, he would hold that title for 234 days before dropping it to Chazz “Starboy” Hall.
Jones frequently appeared on WWE Evolve and even formed a tag team with the man he defeated to become WWE ID Men’s Champion: Jack Cartwheel, with the pair known as Adrenaline Drip.
More new WWE ID signings on the horizon?
While this month’s WWE ID departures currently outweigh the arrivals, it was previously reported that WWE has offered contracts to “at least five” talents who attended their most recent set of tryouts during SummerSlam week.
While some of the new signings are exciting, it’s hard to be overly enthusiastic about the program when so many of its key talents have failed to receive WWE contracts at the end of it.
The Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes, EK Prosper, Sean Legacy and the aforementioned Jack Cartwheel have managed to break into WWE proper, so success is possible, but the fact that talent like Jones and Zayda Steel have opted to walk away instead is certainly curious.
According to Fightful, the recent departures have led some WWE talent to question the program, and it’s not difficult to see why, when former long-reigning ID Champions like Jones and Laynie Luck are exiting.
