TNA WRESTLING
Max Caster has issued a statement after being let go by TNA Wrestling after his controversial rap at TNA Bound for Glory 2026 on Sunday night (October 11).
With his AEW departure made official at the beginning of October, Max Caster announced on Friday (October 9) that he was stepping up to face off with Moose at Bound for Glory, after the former TNA World Champion issued an open challenge for the event.
During Caster’s entrance for his match, things took a controversial turn however, as, in his pre-match rap – which became a staple of his act in AEW – he made reference to the recent bombings at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
TNA’s uploads of the rap and Caster’s Bound for Glory match were eventually removed from the company’s social media and YouTube channel, and following reports of backstage heat on Caster for his remarks, it was confirmed by TNA (via False Finish) that they would no longer be working with Caster going forward.
TNA’s statement reads:
“During Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people.
“Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize.
We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again. Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA.”
Today (October 13), Caster has now issued a statement of his own on the situation, taking to Instagram to apologize to TNA President Carlos Silva, TNA officials and everyone who “vouched for him” to get the spot on the Bound for Glory card. He also said that his intention with his raps is never to offend, but to entertain, however he accepts TNA’s decision and the consequences of what he said.
Caster said:
“Just to address all the TNA stuff. I want to say thank you to Carlos Silva. I talked to him in person, he was very generous, very professional, even after all this stuff happened and I understand why he did what he did. It’s his show, he’s got to protect TNA and I went too far for him, so, I wanna apologize to him and everyone else in the office. I want to apologize to anyone who vouched for me to get that spot, I feel like I let those people down.
“Thank you to Moose for sharing your platform with me. I wish things didn’t turn out the way they did but I’m proud of that match and I’m sorry for how things have ended up.
“And then for anybody who’s offended, I just want everybody to know that when I do these raps, it’s never to offend people, it’s only to entertain. So, in my mind it’s entertainment value first, and then if you’re offended by it that’s your right. So, I can’t apologize for anyone being offended, but just know that it’s not my intention to make people upset. If it gets a reaction I think I did my job. It was a very relevant part of the show and highly talked about, so I feel good about that but the consequences of everything, I’m accepting that. I can accept the facts of that.
“And then to anybody who is asking if I’m good, I’m good, I’m just embarrassed how all this happened. You don’t want it to be one match and then that’s it, you get fired. But, again, that’s the reality of the situation. I’m accepting it and that’s life, and in life sometimes you’ve got to man up and just accept it and move on. So whatever’s next I don’t know, but we’ll see. Thank you everybody that’s reaching out and supporting.”
