WWE is still advertising the November 7 Crown Jewel premium live event for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia despite recent government warnings.

With Money In The Bank now in the books, WWE’s next premium live event is set to be Crown Jewel, set to take place on November 7.

The event was announced for it’s usual host city, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, back in September, but the status of the show has been a major talking point even within the company over the past week.

Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has been the subject of multiple missile attacks, which has led to a number of casualties and even more injuries.

The airport has been closed since the latest attack, with plans to reopen on Saturday, October 17.

The US government recently put out a statement, advising against US citizens from flying to the airport, which is the only tourist airport in the city.

They shared:

The U.S. Mission is aware of attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 10 and strongly recommends all U.S. citizens avoid this airport and surrounding areas. U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia require special authorization to use the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. U.S. citizens should be aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions. We recommend checking your flight departure status directly with the airline and with the airport. U.S. Government Employee Travel Restrictions: U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia require special authorization to use the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia are not allowed to travel within 20 miles of the Yemen border due to safety risks and need special authorization for travel to the provinces of Jizan, Asir, Najran, and the cities of Qatif, Yanbu, and Taif.

WWE Crown Jewel still advertised for Riyadh on Raw

Heading into tonight’s WWE Raw, fans expected the build to Crown Jewel to start, which would lead to the current status of the show being revealed.

Prior to the show, it was reported that WWE had been ‘monitoring’ the situation, but as it stands, it indeed seems as though the show is going on unchanged.

Following Liv Morgan and Chelsea Green’s segment, a graphic aired for the match, with the event still being advertised for Riyadh, including both Liv and Chelsea being marketed in their Saudi Arabia ring attire.
