WWE
Carmelo Hayes officially joined the 946 on tonight’s WWE Raw, helping the group take out the Bloodline’s Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
The 946, originally made up of Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, added Jaida Parker to its ranks a few weeks ago, and has now added a fifth member in the form of Carmelo Hayes.
Hayes had been off WWE TV for two months, last seen suffering a loss at the hands of Baron Corbin during Corbin’s United States Title feud with Trick Williams.
Hayes’ absence led to fans being concerned about his future, with some discussion of him even leaving WWE entirely, but he is back and has a new role in the 946.
And there’s a good reason for the group’s latest addition and it relates to a premium live event coming up very soon: Survivor Series WarGames.
The lineups for this year’s WWE Survivor Series WarGames match
Taking place on November 28 in Houston, Texas, Survivor Series will play host to the WarGames matches for a fifth consecutive year.
Throughout the Survivor Series era of the stipulation, the WarGames matches have all been five on five, and it looks like that could be the case again this year.
Currently, the lineups for each team seem to have four confirmed members – The 946 side has Keys, Nima, Price and Hayes, while the Bloodline lineup will feature Roman Reigns, the Usos and Sikoa.
However, that would make it four on four, with two spots still left to be filled.
Where do LA Knight and Jacon Fatu fit in?
There are two men involved in this storyline who appear likely to get involved, and those are Jacob Fatu and LA Knight.
The question is: which side of the playing will they both end up on?
Knight has formed a friendship with Sikoa in recent months, but has long-standing issues with the Bloodline as a whole.
He did, however, seem to earn the respect of Roman Reigns after their recent match at Money in the Bank, so it’s possible that was foreshadowing a partnership for WarGames.
Meanwhile, Fatu is technically a current member of the Bloodline and got run over by Jaida Parker a couple of weeks ago, but he had been having some issues with Reigns, and may see this as the right time to defect to the 946 side.
So, all in all, it looks like this year’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series could end up being Roman Reigns, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and The Usos facing Royce Keys, Jacob Fatu, Carmelo Hayes, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price.
Depending on how things play out in the coming weeks though, Knight and Fatu could find themselves on the opposite side of the playing field, or WWE could just run a four on four match, as was the case for a few years when the WarGames matches took place in NXT.
Adding even more logic to 946 bringing in Hayes, he actually has some experience in WarGames too from 2021, when he was on Team NXT 2.0 alongside Grayson Waller, Tony D’Angelo and Bron Breakker against the NXT Black & Gold team of Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne and LA Knight.
