Leon Slater next TNA World Championship challenger: Four stars who can face the new champion following Bound For Glory

TNA

At TNA Bound For Glory 2026, Leon Slater defeated Nic Nemeth to win the TNA World Championship.

With this victory, Slater became the youngest TNA World Champion of all time.

Now coming out of the pay-per-view, there should be new contenders stepping up to face “The Youngest In Charge.”

Here are four potential next TNA World Championship challengers for Leon Slater following Bound For Glory 2026.

Frankie Kazarian

While Leon Slater captured the TNA World Title, he was not the only star who picked up a major win at Bound For Glory 2026.

In this year’s Call Your Shot Gauntlet, Frankie Kazarian once again captured the Call Your Shot trophy for a third straight year.

“The King of TNA” has stated that he intends to cash in the trophy for an opportunity at the TNA World Tag Team Championships with his partner Avery Styles.

Kazaria going back on his word would make sense for his character and give Leon Slater a former champion to face.

AJ Francis

Someone who has been mentioned as a potential challenger for the TNA World Championship over the past few years is AJ Francis.

Since signing with TNA Wrestling in 2024, Francis has become one of the most reliable performers on the roster.

Despite his success, Francis has been denied bigger opportunities in the company.

After biding his time, Francis should be one of the top contenders for Leon Slater moving forward.

Ricky Sosa

Ever since signing with TNA Wrestling earlier this year, Ricky Sosa has been one of the fastest rising stars in the company.

At TNA Bound For Glory 2026, Sosa picked up the biggest victory of his career over Eddie Edwards.

After getting passed The System’s leader, it would make sense for Sosa to want to test himself against the best TNA Wrestling has to offer.

With their established friendship, Sosa might challenge Slater in a battle of friends for the gold.

Mustafa Ali

There is no doubt that Mustafa Ali has become one of the best in-ring performers in TNA Wrestling today.

At TNA Bound For Glory 2026, Ali lost the International Title to Jason Hotch in the Order 4 Way with John Skylar and Special Agent Zero.

Considering his success with TNA X-Division and International Championships, it makes sense for Ali to go after the top prize in the promotion.

Ali challenging Leon Slater could prove to be one of the best TNA World Title matches in recent memory.
