Amid uncertainty surrounding the Crown Jewel premium live event, WWE has confirmed two huge bouts for the upcoming show.

The two Crown Jewel Championship matches have officially been revealed, ahead of the November 7 event, which is still being promoted as taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

On the men’s side, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will battle Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn in their first one-on-one encounter since Elimination Chamber 2023.

the Women’s Crown Jewel titleholder will be determined in a match between the WWE Women’s Champion and Women’s World Champion, with Chelsea Green slated to face off against Liv Morgan.

These bouts are always intriguing, as only one world champion will be able to stand tall and have their arms raised in each.

So, which women’s champion will take home the Crown Jewel Title?

“Interim” no more

With lineal Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley undergoing knee surgery, WWE announced a ladder match to determine an interim champion at SummerSlam.

Chelsea Green was ultimately victorious, beating Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend and Jade Cargill to the top of the ladder to win her first world title in WWE.

WWE has since quietly dropped the “interim” from Green’s title, with the company retroactively ending Rhea Ripley’s championship reign on August 2 and recognising Green as the official champion since her ladder match victory.

Green has defended her gold once at the time of writing, defeating Nia Jax on the September 11 SmackDown episode.

Despite this, some people still view Green as the interim titleholder, including Liv Morgan, who called her a “placeholder champion” on the October 12 Raw episode.

Chelsea Green would benefit a lot from winning the Crown Jewel Championship, as it would cement her as a top champion, rather than Rhea Ripley’s replacement.

Also, with recent dissension within the Judgment Day, it’d make a lot of sense to see Green capitalize and pick up the victory, with fans eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Liv Morgan vs Roxanne Perez storyline.

“… Of AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL TIIIIIIIIME”

Liv Morgan’s route to Crown Jewel has been an interesting one, and technically started with her Royal Rumble victory, and Women’s World Championship win at WrestleMania 42 in April.

After 147 days at champion, and having only defended the gold in two televised matches, Morgan dropped the title to Stephanie Vaquer at a house show in Vaquer’s home country of Chile on September 12, in a match which was officiated by Becky Lynch.

Morgan and Lynch both challenged for the gold at Money in the Bank on October 10. The closing moments of the match saw Vaquer take out Lynch before being dropped by Morgan’s ObLivion signature, leading to Morgan reclaiming he title.

Liv Morgan has actually won the women’s Crown Jewel Championship before, defeating Nia Jax in 2024 to become the inaugural winner.

A victory on November 7 would make Morgan the first two-time Crown Jewel Championship winner, across both the men’s and women’s titles.

This win would make Morgan an even bigger force for the next Women’s World Champion to eventually dethrone. With many fans predicting that Roxanne Perez will win the gold from Morgan, the Women’s World Champion also being the Crown Jewel Champion would help to elevate whoever is next in line.

Tiffy’s time?

It’s worth remembering that Tiffany Stratton will also be waiting in the wings, keeping a close eye on this bout following her Money in the Bank ladder match victory.

With Stratton able to cash in for a championship match at a time of her choosing, both Green and Morgan will be looking over their shoulder before, during, and after their Crown Jewel clash.

There has been some speculation about Stratton potentially cashing in during this bout, which would be uncharted territory, as no Money in the Bank holder has inserted themselves into a Crown Jewel Title bout before.
