A former WWE Champion has shared his thoughts on Oba Femi, as the star continues to dominate, having defeated Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
The main event of WWE SummerSlam Night 1 saw Oba Femi defeat Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match, having previously lost to the veteran star at May’s Clash in Italy, following a WrestleMania 42 victory for the former NXT Champion.
Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal commented on Femi in a recent post on Instagram, reflecting on how he should be used the same as Lesnar was, saying:
“Turn Oba Femi heel.
“Just like Brock Lesnar when he was when he debuted, have him destroy everybody and let the crowd naturally turn him babyface.
“Put him with Paul Heyman.”

Since being called up to the main roster in January of this year, Femi has suffered a single loss, with that being to Lesnar at Clash in Italy.
Following SummerSlam, Lesnar would call Femi “the future”, with The Miz noting that such an accolade brings pressure to the young star.
The Next Big Thing?
Paul Heyman’s name will be inextricably linked with Brock Lesnar when it comes to the WWE history books, and for good reason.
For much of The Beast Incarnate’s early WWE career, he would let his actions do the talking, with Paul Heyman acting as his advocate. Fans would from Lesnar in later years, but allowing Heyman to be the mouthpiece gave a certain aura to the star, allowing for a dominant streak that has rarely been seen since.
With Lesnar now seeming to pass the torch to Oba Femi after SummerSlam, there’s an argument to be made that “the future” doesn’t need representation in the form of Heyman, having ably demonstrated his promo skills since his NXT days. That said, Heyman certainly serves a purpose when it comes to developing stars, whether it be in an on-screen capacity or behind-the-scenes.
One such star to have benefited from an association with Paul Heyman has been Bron Breakker, who received coaching from the veteran star at the request of Triple H. Heyman and Breakker would go on to crystalize their relationship via The Vision.
While Heyman may no longer be associated with The Vision, there’s every opportunity to keep him close to Breakker by representing Oba Femi. After all, there’s certainly mileage in a feud between Breakker and Femi, with Heyman’s showmanship playing its part in proceedings.
