WWE Evolve and LFG talent Drake Morreaux has made the move from the Performance Center in Orlando to work in Mexico with AAA.

Tonight’s episode of WWE LFG ended with a match between Drake Morreaux and Tristan Angels, with a lot riding on the match for Morreaux.

Morreaux is one of the longest tenured Performance Center athletes yet to debut on NXT TV, leading to question marks over his status with the company and how much longer he’d be kept around.

Some time after the match that aired on tonight’s LFG, Morreaux was called into Shawn Michaels’ office to hear the decision about his future.

Michaels informed Morreaux that there wasn’t a spot for him at NXT or the Performance Center anymore… because he was being sent to work with AAA in Mexico instead.

Michaels said:

“You’ve been here for how many years now – almost three. And look, all of the coaches, everybody here, speaks extremely highly of you.

“The reality is though, after a certain amount of time, we have to make decisions about how much more time and investment we’re gonna put into somebody before they start to get this.

“So with that said, unfortunately, your time here at the PC is going to be over with. The reality is, we simply just do not have a place for you right now in NXT.

“But, the other side of that coin is, there’s a huge opportunity for you in AAA.”

Morreaux is the boyfriend of WWE Raw star Roxanne Perez and spoke about how he’d watch Perez’s match in AAA last year and thought it would be great to work there.

WWE LFG is taped several months in advance, and Morreaux has yet to appear on an episode of WWE AAA as of this writing. It’s unclear how far in advance the Michaels meeting that aired tonight would have actually happened in comparison to the match, as it wasn’t directly after.

The Undertaker, who books AAA, was a coach for Drake Morreaux on the first season of WWE LFG.
