WWE Raw in Brief – August 6, 2018 – WrestleTalk

But other than that, it wasn’t the most exciting show WWE has ever put on.

Apart from two good matches, the first between Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin, and the second a handicap match between Seth Rollins and Dolph and Drew, very little in terms of talking points happened.

Bobby Lashley beat up Elias, cementing their match on the SummerSlam pre-show, the B-Team faced the Revival, only to be interrupted by the Deleter of Worlds for the double DQ, and Bobby Roode beat Mojo Rawley in a match to crown the least over person in the roster’s under-card.

Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman had another game of “oi, that’s my briefcase” which the latter obviously won, making me feel like Owens will be winning their match at SummerSlam, due to Braun insatiable appetite for destruction.

There was a nice spot when Braun tipped over the stage with Owens, Mahal and Singh on top, but really, this is just watch happened last week, isn’t it.

There was a smidge of interest in the 45th re-run of Bayley and Sasha vs The Riott Squad, when Ruby Riott made her return from injury to cost Bayley and Sasha the match, but all this means is that another match is now set for the pre-show in two weeks time.

I am however enjoying the fact that they’re allowing Kurt Angle to have a bit more personality in getting a bit of revenge on Baron Corbin.

This looks to be heading towards a match between the two, the winner of which you would assume would maintain control of Raw, because that’s wrestling for you!

Unfortunately it was a case of a poor show with a few shining lights intermingled. SummerSlam cannot come soon enough for Raw, which I guess can happen when you have a limited roster with three hours to fill every single week.

Just one more week to go now. We’ll make it together.
