An interesting update has emerged on WWE plans for the WrestleMania 40 go-home edition of Monday Night Raw.
WWE has now confirmed that WrestleMania week will begin with an hour of uninterrupted action.
During an advertisement shown during Friday’s (March 29) SmackDown, it was announced that the first hour of Raw will be commercial-free.
Monday’s (April 1) episode will be the final Raw show before WrestleMania 40 on April 5-6.
While WWE hasn’t announced which segment will open Raw, it was previously confirmed that The Rock and Roman Reigns will appear on the show.
The Rock and Roman Reigns will team up at WrestleMania to face off against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.
This bout will affect Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Title defence against Cody Rhodes also slated for WrestleMania, with the Bloodline banned from ringside if Cody and Seth win, and “Bloodline Rules” coming into effect if The Rock and Roman win.
The following matches have been announced for Monday’s edition of Raw:
– Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston vs. Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh
– Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae vs Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri
