Absent WWE Star Reacts To Special Homage At Backlash 2023

Whilst Charlotte Flair may be currently on a hiatus from WWE it has not stopped a top star paying homage to both her and her father Ric Flair.

During the San Juan Street Fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest, the global music star would lock in a the Flair signature move of the figure-four leg lock.

This was not only effective in the match due to Bunny’s persistent targeting of Priest’s left ankle but it also caught the attention of the 14-time women’s champion herself.

Flair would take to Twitter to share a clip of the moment Bunny locked on the manoeuvre alongside the caption:

“WOOOOOOO felicidades (congratulations)!!!!”

Bunny has made his admiration for Ric Flair known from very early on in his career, featuring the two time WWE Hall of Famer in the music video of his 2017 hit ‘Chambea’.

Ironically it would be ‘Chambea’ that Bunny would decide to walk out to the ring to before his Street Fight victory, something that the San Juan crowd reacted to incredibly, singing along with the lyrics to a deafening degree.

Prior to her WWE hiatus, Charlotte Flair expressed interest in working with the Puerto Rican star.

Despite only just wrapping up his latest in-ring endeavor it has been reported that WWE are already keen to bring Bunny back for a major upcoming event after exceeding expectations with his stellar performance, click here to find out more.
