A released WWE star has teased a return to wrestling, after re-emerging with a new character in a cryptic video uploaded to social media.
With many of WWE’s September talent releases announcing their next moves, one of the more quiet of those has now done the same as Elias as has returned to social media seemingly revealing his new wrestling character and name.
In a post, which is his first since his release from the company, a video (see below) depicts Elias walking through a wooded area while images of his time in WWE flash on screen, he eventually reaches a grave sight and a priest.
On the grave stone is Elias’ name and the year’s the character spent on WWE’s main roster, with the 36-year-old falling backwards into the grave and re-emerging from the dirt.
This seems to signify a rebirth of sorts for his character, with his new name confirmed to be Elijah going forward.
It remains to be seen how/if Elijah will differ from Elias, but either way it’s exciting to see The Drifter look set to return to the wrestling scene.
You can check out Elijah’s video in full down below.
