WWE Star Thinks SummerSlam 2026 Match Will Be ‘Perfect Segue’ For First-Time Feud

A WWE star thinks that a match at this year’s SummerSlam could be the ‘perfect segue’ for a first-time feud.

Sidelined since the June 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, Rhea Ripley revealed that she had suffered a knee injury, noting a meniscus tear.

The current WWE Women’s Champion, Ripley’s injury will see an interim champion crowned in a ladder match at SummerSlam on August 1 & 2, with Tiffany Stratton recently progressing in the qualifiers.

During a recent appearance on Good Karma Wrestling, Stratton pitched the idea of a feud with Ripley, with the Interim Women’s Championship as a starting point, saying:

“I would love to work with Rhea Ripley. I think this Interim Women’s Championship match is the perfect segue into it.

“I feel like me being Tiffy Time, Tiffany Stratton and then winning that title and becoming Tiffy Two Titles and then if Rhea wants a match to try and win back her WWE Women’s Championship, she can; I’ll give her that. I think that would be a perfect segue to a me and Rhea Ripley story.”

Stratton would also comment on her partnership with Chelsea Green, revealing that she was “hesitant” to form a tag team with a star with whom she had previously had issues.

Winner Takes All

Having progressed in the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Tournament, Tiffany Stratton heads to SummerSlam along with Jade Cargill and three other competitors to determine who will be victorious.

For Stratton, the current WWE Women’s United States Champion, a win at SummerSlam would, indeed, see her become ‘Tiffy Two Titles’, with Rhea Ripley’s future return no doubt casting a shadow on her reign.

Echoes of ‘Becky Two Belts’, the result of Becky Lynch after the main event of WrestleMania 35, are obvious when it comes to what Stratton is suggesting. The 2019 PLE saw a Winner Takes All Match, with Lynch defeating the then-Raw Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey, and her SmackDown counterpart, Charlotte Flair.

The dual-title reign elevated Lynch to new levels as a character, something that could very much follow for Stratton, should the opportunity arise.

Hypothetically, seeing Stratton put both titles on the line against a returning Ripley could be a show-stealing match, although it’s highly likely that, coming back from injury, one of the top SmackDown women’s stars isn’t going to let the gold go easily.
