A WWE star has said that things ‘aren’t over’ with their current rivals after a recent championship loss on television.
Back at WrestleMania 42, Paige made her return to WWE television, with her subbing in as Brie Bella’s tag team partner in the Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way match following an injury to Nikki Bella.
Brie and Paige would go on to win the titles in the match, continuing to defend them against teams such as the Irresistible Forces, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and Fatal Influence.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event last weekend, Brie and Paige’s reign came to an end, when Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence would score the win, capturing them their first championship on the main roster, and Lainey’s first title of any kind in her career.
Brie Bella Says Tag Team Run With Paige ‘Isn’t Over’
Speaking in her Hi, My Name Is Brie vlog, Brie noted that her and Paige’s run as a team isn’t over after their loss.
She also noted that she thought she was going to be out alongside Nikki Bella after her injury, calling Paige the perfect replacement for Nikki.
She said:
“We were just sitting here like, really sad because it’s been such a fun run. Doesn’t mean it’s over, we’ll get them back, but I couldn’t ask for a better tag partner.
“When Nikki got hurt a couple weeks before WrestleMania I was like, I guess I’m just gonna be out too, but then when you took her spot I was like, no-one better.
“I feel like you guys are all going to be so sad, but we’re gonna keep fighting, so you guys stay tuned to watch us.”

Paige’s Role In WWE Following Nikki Bella’s Return
While Brie and Paige’s tag team is seemingly set to continue, it will only be a matter of time until Nikki makes her return, reuniting the Bella Twins in their pursuit for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
When the Bellas are reunited, Paige becomes the odd woman out, with a number of potential options for her when the time comes.
While WWE could keep her and the Bellas united as a trio, it’s equally as likely that Nikki and Brie end up betraying her when the time comes, with Paige needing to find a new partner.
Paige and AJ Lee reuniting to face the Bella Twins would be the most obvious choice for a replacement partner, though Paige could also take a newer name under her wing.
