Former WWE Star Filming Documentary On Addiction Recovery WWE

A former WWE star is filing a documentary on addiction recovery, charting his journey out of rehab and alcohol addiction.

Best known as Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer in WWE, Ricard Rodriguez has quite the history in wrestling himself.

He started in 2006 and has been, at various points throughout time, an announcer, commentator, manager, referee and trainer.

In 2021, he celebrated one year of sobriety from alcohol, though would relapse and return to rehab in March 2022.

Rodriquez recently announced that a documentary is being made that will chart his journey.

Tweeting from his personal account, Rodriguez said:

“Last few months I’ve been filming my #AddictionRecovery process. From getting out of rehab to living in a recovery home, dealing with homelessness to building @3Legacies and getting life back together.

“@BobbacondaPro will be releasing this documentary later this year.”

3 Legacies is Rodriguez’s pro-wrestling academy based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Rodriguez worked from WWE from 2010, as part of the development territory FCW before debuting on WWE SmackDown as Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer and would remain with WWE until his release in 2014.
