Sami Zayn Names Specific Fans He & Kevin Owens ‘Cater Towards’

Sami Zayn has shared the secret name that he and Kevin Owens use to refer to the fans they are catering to in the WWE audience.

In a chat with XFINITY Hangouts, Sami Zayn has revealed the very specific type of fan that both he and Kevin Owens remind themselves to cater to including what they themselves call the archetype.

Describing how he and Owens have discussed the need to cater to Owens’ own past self, Zayn said:

“We have a little expression, actually when we do shows in different towns and they’re kind of close, there’s a certain fan that we cater towards called little Kevin, which is basically when he [Owens] was a fan, but there might be 100 or 200 little Kevins out there, and we kind of are very mindful of them,”

“They might have seen the act before, they might have seen what we do, so we got to keep them on the edge of their seats and we got to keep them on their toes.”

“So I think having that approach, while may be a little much, that sometimes may be a little much for some people, I think it’s been the key to keeping our story fresh for 20 years now.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Kevin discusses how as a younger fan he wasn’t particularly drawn to video games or backyard wrestling but rather did enjoy playing with action figures.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens remain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions after having won the titles at WrestleMania 39 in the main event of night one.
