Someone’s story will apparently come to an end in WWE as the feud between Shinsuke Nakamura and Cody Rhodes intensifies.
Nakumara has recently been focused on Rhodes, attacking him on the November 27 episode of WWE Raw following weeks of teasing who his target could be.
On the December 4 episode of WWE Raw, Nakamura explained his actions, saying:
“The devil in your mind that whispers you’ll never make it back there.
“But now you have awoken me, inspired me and I am here to unburden you.
“To step into your shoes and take that story off your hands.
“I never go to finish my story, so now I will finish yours.”

It looks like Nakamura’s words may have hit home as the video cuts back to the WWE Raw ring with Rhodes saying:
“You think our stories are the same? Shinsuke, I would appreciate you explaining why you attacked me.
“And, perhaps we’ve had a similar path but until you stand in this ring with me, I need you to know that I don’t rate you, I don’t respect you.
“It has never been part of my story to run from a fight.
“You keep saying that we’re the same… prove it.”

Nakamura would respond to the challenge on Twitter, stating:
“What do you want me to prove?
“That you are blessed than me?”
On the last WWE Raw of November, Cody Rhodes announced himself as an entrant in the Royal Rumble.
The WWE Royal Rumble takes place on January 27, 2024, at Tropicana Field, in St Petersburg, Florida.
