WWE SmackDown Viewership For December 16 Show Revealed WWE

The ratings for last week’s (December 16) episode of WWE SmackDown have been revealed.

The show was advertised to feature an Intercontinental Championship clash between Gunther and SmackDown World Cup winner Ricochet.

The show was also advertised to feature a ‘big night’ for Sami Zayn and the Bloodline, which ended up with John Cena making an unexpected appearance to close out the night.

Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, last week’s show drew in 2.191 million viewers.

This number is down from the 2.306 the prior week’s show drew in.

In the key 18 – 49 demographic, last week’s show scored a 0.52, which tied the December 9 show’s number in the demographic.

WWE taped this week’s episode of SmackDown following the show, which is set to air this Friday.

Next week’s (December 30) is being advertised as a major show, set to see John Cena wrestle his first, and only, match for WWE in the year 2022.

Cena is set to team with Kevin Owens against Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns.
