Paige has responded to Nikki Bella following comments made on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, teasing a confrontation on next week’s show.
With the Bella Twins attacking Paige after their six-woman tag-team loss to Fatal Influence at SummerSlam, Nikki Bella addressed this betrayal on the August 7 SmackDown episode.
During a video segment, Nikki stated that she made a “very unselfish call” to have Paige replace her in the Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 42, claiming to have single handedly revitalised Paige’s career.
She went on to say that Paige repaid her by losing the tag-team title, and “leeching” off of Brie Bella.
Nikki vowed to make Paige feel the pain Brie is currently feeling, blaming her for Brie’s injury.
Paige took to Twitter to address these comments, stating that she will be back on WWE TV next week.
She responded:
“I saved your ass from getting pinned twice at summerslam.. I’m also the one who WON those championships.
“I’ll be back next week. You haven’t seen anything yet babe.”
Paige and Brie Bella defeated Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and champions Nia Jax & Lash Legend at WrestleMania 42, with Paige pinning Alexa Bliss to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
The duo lost the gold to Lainey Reid & Fallon Henley at the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, with Paige once again taking the pin in the SummerSlam six-women’s tag match, Nikki Bella’s return bout.
Brie Bella suffered a broken scapula (shoulder blade) during the match, which she recently revealed will see her out of action for three to six months.
Paige and Nikki Bella were notably rivals during their previous runs with the company, so it will be interesting to see how this feud unfolds, being revisited in 2026.
