‘I’ll Be Out For A Bit’ – WWE Star Confirms Injury Following SummerSlam 2026

WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella has shared an update on the nature of the injury she suffered during her six-woman tag-team match at SummerSlam.

The August 1 show saw Paige, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella come up short against Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley, with the Bella Twins attacking Paige after the match.

With Triple H confirming following the show that Brie Bella had suffered an injury and had went to hospital for further scans, the WWE Hall of Famer has now confirmed the nature of the injury she suffered during the match.

In a new Instagram post, Brie announced that she had suffered a broken scapula (shoulder blade).

Noting that she will be out of action “for a bit”, Brie wrote:

I wanted to thank you all for sending me all the love, warm wishes and prayers. When I was sitting in the hospital, I was reading everything you guys were sending my way, love you all!!!

Unfortunately I’ll be out for a bit. I broke my scapula. If there’s one thing I know about my sister and I is that we don’t let broken bones stop us. Not sure how I finished that match, but I do believe between the adrenaline, passion for the business and the love for all the women I work with, it gave me the drive to finish.

Now my new journey starts!! Buddy said he’s going to be my assistant, Birdie‘s going to be my nurse and they both told me that daddy is going to be my personal chef, so I am set!!

If there is one thing I know about Brie Mode, she always finds a way to come back to her wrestling home. Let the recovery begin. 🫶🏽

This is the second time this year the Bella Twins’ reunion run has been affected by an injury, with Nikki Bella being replaced by Paige in the Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way at WrestleMania 42 after Nikki suffered a broken ankle on the March 27 SmackDown episode.

Their SummerSlam match marked Nikki’s in-ring return after almost five months away, and now will unfortunately also be remembered as the match which took Brie out of action.
