Match Order For WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night Two Confirmed

The planned match order has emerged for night two of the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event, taking place tonight, Sunday, August 2.

With the show just over three hours away as of this writing, the backstage match lineup has leaked so we know the order of events for tonight.

As has been clear for a while now, the night two main event will be Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins.

Also, as noted in earlier reporting, the Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor match to determine the #1 contender for CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship is planned to open the night.

As for the rest of the card, PWInsider reports the following match order is planned for SummerSlam night two:

Match 1 – Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn – Undisputed WWE Championship #1 contender’s match

Match 2 – Trick Williams (c) vs. Baron Corbin – United States Championship

Match 3 – Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green vs. Jade Cargill vs. Lash Legend vs. Tiffany Stratton – Interim WWE Women’s Championship ladder match

Match 4 – Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio – Human Monies on a Pole

Match 5 – Penta (c) vs. Chad Gable – Intercontinental Championship

Main event – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins – World Heavyweight Championship

As always, WWE’s plans could change by the time SummerSlam night two gets underway so we’ll keep you posted if that ends up being the case, but as things stand, this is the planned order of proceedings.

Thoughts On WWE SummerSlam Night Two Match Order

The decision for Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins to main event night two instead of either CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes or Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar is a bold one, and ultimately it’ll depend on the quality of the match and the headlines coming out of it as to whether it was the right choice or not.

Other than that, Finn Balor vs Sami Zayn is a solid opener as far as getting the crowd into the show right away, and Trick Williams vs Baron Corbin is probably where it belongs as well.

Penta vs Chad Gable, which seems likely to result in a title change, is probably better for being later in the show as opposed to being earlier – if not first – or right in the middle.

The only thing to be wary about is hoping that the crowd doesn’t react negatively to Penta vs Gable due to it coming directly after Danhausen vs Dominik Mysterio in a pole match, which if not pulled off correctly, could be a real dud and thus have a knock-on effect to the match after it.

Hopefully that doesn’t happen though, and if things run smoothly, there are no major qualms with the order.
