Who Chose ‘Morning Glory’ By Oasis For Nick Aldis WWE SummerSlam 2026 Entrance Revealed

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has commented on his special entrance music for his in-ring return during night one of WWE SummerSlam.

Nick Aldis wrestled his first match in three years on August 1, losing to GUNTHER in what was actually his WWE in-ring debut.

Aldis’ entrance for his first-ever WWE match saw him enter to Morning Glory by Oasis, a song which the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion spoke about on WWE Now: SummerSlam Recap.

Revealing what led to this being his entrance song for SummerSlam, Nick Aldis said:

“I would always listen to that song and I would always visualize this would be a killer entrance song. I’m talking about when I was a kid. As you sort of progress in the business you start to figure out how things work you kind of put it to the back of your mind. ‘That’s not likely, that’s not gonna happen.’

“Then, Hunter text me a couple weeks ago and said, ‘Perfect world, if you could have any music, you could license any music for you, any song – nothing is off the table – what would you have?’ He had mentioned maybe something British, maybe a British band and I suddenly went ‘Morning Glory.’

“I thought it won’t happen but I’ve got to ask.’ I text back, ‘Ideal world with no restrictions it would be Morning Glory by Oasis.’ In my mind I’m thinking ok, it probably won’t happen. I sent a few others like Muse and Kasabian, thinking they might be a little bit more manageable.

“I didn’t hear anything more about it and I just kind of thought ‘it’s alright, whatever.’ Yesterday at SmackDown, ‘We got Morning Glory.’ ‘Woah, what.’”

While Nick Aldis did relinquish his role as SmackDown general manager ahead of SummerSlam, Triple H reinstated Aldis in this role shortly after his in-ring return.

Nick Aldis also opened up about the match, noting that he felt he got blown up during his entrance.

With Aldis proving that he can still go in the ring, only time will tell as to how often he wrestles moving forward.
