Brandi Rhodes has reacted to Randy Orton attacking Cody Rhodes during the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam.

The August 1 SummerSlam show saw Rhodes challenge for CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Title in a back-and-forth contest.

Randy Orton made his return during the closing moments of the match, sneaking into the ring while the referee was down and hitting his WrestleMania 42 opponent with an RKO.

CM Punk capitalized on Orton’s interference, hitting one final GTS to retain his gold.

Brandi Rhodes has taken to Twitter to comment on Orton once again targeting her husband, writing:

This 💩 again 😒

Randy Orton hasn’t wrestled since unsuccessfully challenging for Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 in April.

Following the match, Orton struck Rhodes with the championship belt and hit him with a Punk Kick.

Orton was absent from TV following this, only making his return to cost Rhodes the title match at SummerSlam. During his time away, the Viper responded to reports stating that his absence was due to a back injury, with Orton stating that he was trying to enjoy his summer before returning to win his 15th WWE world title.

Randy Orton will not be next in line to challenge for CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship, with Finn Balor and Sami Zayn set to face off in a #1 contender’s match on night two of SummerSlam.

A Randy Orton feud away from the WWE Title picture would be a good move for Cody Rhodes, allowing Punk to build a match with whoever the #1 contender ends up being, while ultimately building anticipation for either Orton or Rhodes to emerge as the next challenger.
