WWE Star Injured At SummerSlam 2026

A WWE star has suffered an injury coming out of tonight’s WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event on Saturday, August 1.

One of tonight’s matches saw Fatal Influence defeat Paige and The Bella Twins in six-woman tag team action, before The Bella Twins turned on Paige and attacked her after the match.

Towards the end of the match, Brie Bella appeared to be holding her shoulder and seemed to have potentially suffered an injury, which was confirmed by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H in his post-show press conference.

Asked about Brie Bella’s status, HHH said:

“She’s injured. I don’t have an update yet. She was here, got some treatment here, has been taken to the hospital to get some scans done. So, don’t have a clean answer on it yet.

“I know she hurt her shoulder. It seems pretty bad. But I don’t have that answer yet. Hopefully we will soon and hopefully it won’t be as bad as we thought it was. But that’s the nature of the game and we’ll pivot accordingly for everything. It’s unfortunate, I hate it, it’s part of our business.

“I think tonight that was the only serious thing that came out of this. Talent make things look easy, all of it, and sometimes the most complex things that make people go, ‘Oh my god that looked so dangerous, they were gonna get hurt,’ that’s not the stuff that hurts you sometimes, it’s just you fall down the wrong way, there’s lapse of judgment, whatever it is.

“This is a dangerous business and for the most part, I don’t think anybody leaves here unscathed in some manner. We hate it and we do everything we possibly can… it’s just a part of what we do, and it’s an unfortunate part of what we do.

“The beautiful thing about what we do is we do everything possible to minimize that risk. But it’s still a physical business. So hopefully she’ll be good.”

Triple H Comments On ‘The Same Wrestlers’ Being At The Top Of WWE

Elsewhere in the press conference, Triple H was asked about a comment made by Damian Priest on SmackDown recently, where he said he’s frustrated about the same names always being in top positions in WWE.

HHH said:

“I get that, if you’re the guy that wants to take the spot it’s frustrating that guys above you have the spot.

“We’re in a period where there’s a lot of top performers in top spots that have overtime earned those spots, are selling tickets, and are really popular. So you really have to do something.

“The narrative of ‘it’s my turn’, ‘I’ve been here for a while, it’s my turn’. There are no turns in this s**t, that’s not how it works. You earn the spot.

“If someone is getting over more than someone else, we move that person into the spot and move the other person down. But it’s not just ‘oh they’re getting a loud crowd reaction’. Are they going to be good in the spot? Are they going to hold up their end of the bargain? Are they going to screw up if we give it to them? All those things factor in.

“I love the fact sometimes talent are frustrated or whatever, that means work harder. Get yourself there. Figure out how it gets done. I’ve seen a million talent succeed because of what they do, not because of storyline or creative gave them the spot.

“99% of the time in this business the person gets over then gets the push, that’s how it works, you go do your s**t, then we follow it, because otherwise most of the time they will choke on it if it’s not what the fans believe in.

“Big believer in if you want the spot, go take it. It’s there for everybody to take. When anyone says I don’t know why I’m not in that spot, I don’t know, are you more over than Cody? Roman? Punk? Liv? IYO? Those are the people in that spot, get there, make those crowd reactions happen.

“I love that mentality because it makes people work harder, and if you’re not willing to work for that spot, you shouldn’t have it anyway”
