Match Order For WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One Confirmed

The planned match order for night one of WWE SummerSlam 2026, taking place tonight, Saturday, August 1, has now emerged.

With the event just over a couple of hours away from kicking off, WWE’s backstage plans have leaked, revealing the rundown of matches for tonight’s show.

As was noted in earlier reporting, the planned main event of tonight’s show is the Hell in a Cell match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi – not the Undisputed WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes.

PWInsider Elite has now shared the full planned night one match order, which is as follows:

Match 1 – Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY – Women’s World Championship

Match 2 – Jacob Fatu & The Usos vs. LA Knight, Royce Keys & Solo Sikoa

Match 3 – GUNTHER vs. Nick Aldis

Match 4 – Bella Twins & Paige vs. Fatal Influence

Match 5 – CM Punk (c) vs. Cody Rhodes – Undisputed WWE Championship

Main Event – Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi – Hell in a Cell

As always, WWE’s plans can change, so if there’s any word of that being the case, we’ll keep you posted, but as of now, that’s the planned match order according to the backstage rundowns.

Thoughts On WWE SummerSlam Night One Match Order

The big talking point here is of course the decision for Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi to main event over CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes.

That was always going to be a decision subject to questioning regardless of which way WWE ended up going – and really perhaps the bigger story is that the company chose Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins to main event night two over either of tonight’s headliners.

All in all, assuming Oba Femi gets the big win that pretty much everyone agrees he should get, that’s probably worth the main event spot, especially if there isn’t going to be a title change in Punk vs Rhodes.

As for the rest of the show, there isn’t really anything to write home about as far as the order, other than the fact that both the six-man tag and six-woman tag are taking place today instead of being split between the two nights.
