After losing the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions, Cody Rhodes has showcased his frustrations and stated that he will do anything to become champion again.

This may present Rhodes with the opportunity to create his own faction to help him regain the top prize in the company.

Considering the amount of friends he has on the WWE roster, there are plenty of different options that Cody might recruit to create a brand new stable in the future.

Here are eight WWE stars to potentially join a new Cody Rhodes faction.

8. Matt Cardona

Cody Rhodes has stated on multiple occasions that one of his best friends in the wrestling business is Matt Cardona.

Forming their friendship coming up in WWE, Rhodes and Cardona have a close-knit bond that has made them like brothers for years.

In January, Cardona re-signed with WWE after being away from the promotion for over five years.

Cardona joining forces with Rhodes would make a lot of sense and might be the first prominent role she has played on WWE TV since returning earlier this year.

7. Ethan Page

Another friend of Cody Rhodes on the current WWE roster is Ethan Page.

Following WrestleMania 42, Page got called up to the WWE main roster after spending the past two years on NXT.

After all of his success as a former NXT Champion and the longest reigning NXT North American Champion in history, Page should be in line for championship gold and high profile matches for years to come.

With Page recently recalling his time teaming with Rhodes in his Alpha-1 Wrestling promotion, Page could gain some valuable experience alongside Cody Rhodes in a new faction moving forward.

6. Shawn Spears

Shawn Spears was one of Cody Rhodes’ earliest rivals in AEW, with Cody defeating Spears at All Out 2019.

There might not be anyone on the WWE roster today who knows Cody Rhodes better or for longer than Shawn Spears.

The NXT star currently stands on his own after Niko Vance and Izzi Dame turned on him to excommunicate him from The Culling.

Spears might be able to use his experience as The Culling leader to help assist his friend with a new potential stable.

Rhodes could open the door for Spears to return to the WWE main roster as one of the stalwarts for a new faction on Raw and SmackDown.

5. Ricky Saints

It is no secret that Cody Rhodes is close friends with and played a role in Ricky Saints signing with WWE.

This led to Saints becoming one of the fastest rising stars in NXT history, winning the NXT Championship and NXT North American Championship in less than a year on the brand.

Now that he has made his way to the WWE main roster, Saints calls Friday Night SmackDown his home, but he may need to align with a top star like his friend Cody to rise in prominence.

Saints becoming the protegè of Rhodes will only work in his favor as he looks to establish himself as a major star on the blue brand.

4. Royce Keys

Royce Keys’ first appearance after signing with WWE was during the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match.

Another new WWE star who has been making his name on Friday Night SmackDown in recent months is Royce Keys.

The former Powerhouse Hobbs has slowly but surely made a significant impact with his recent alliance with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa against The Bloodline.

Now that he has started to make a name for himself in WWE, Keys might be willing to align himself with someone who was a friend of his during their time together in All Elite Wrestling, Cody Rhodes.

Considering his size and strength, Keys would make for an ideal choice to be the enforcer of a potential Cody Rhodes-led faction in the near future.

3. Jade Cargill

When Jade Cargill arrived in All Elite Wrestling, she immediately confronted Cody Rhodes and faced him in her debut match.

During their time together in the company, Rhodes and Cargill had a mentor-mentee relationship that saw “The American Nightmare” become a source of advice and guidance to the first ever TBS Champion.

Now that they are in WWE, both Rhodes and Cargill are on Friday Night SmackDown, which could see them reunite in a group down the line.

Rhodes recruiting Cargill makes a ton of sense considering their friendship and how much these two have helped each other outside of the ring over the years.

2. Charlotte Flair

WWE's Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill have been embroiled in SmackDown’s top women’s feud in the absence of Rhea Ripley.

There might not be anyone who understands the journey Cody Rhodes went on in the wrestling industry as a second-generation star quite like Charlotte Flair.

Trying to fill the shoes of her father Ric Flair, Charlotte has created her own legacy, making a case to be one of the greatest women’s wrestlers in WWE history.

“The Queen” has what it takes to be a valuable asset to any faction that might want to bring her into the fold.

Charlotte Flair joining this new faction would give Cody Rhodes one of the biggest and best the WWE women’s division has to offer and help them bring some gold to their ranks in the near future.

1. CM Punk

At WWE SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes will challenge CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Things have gotten extremely heated between Rhodes and Punk heading into the event with resentment and jealousy being at the forefront.

However, this title clash might not be enough to end their close bond that Punk and Rhodes have with one another.

Punk joining Cody in starting a new faction would pit two of the biggest stars on the roster together under one unit, making them a formidable threat to the entire WWE moving forward.
