Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk’s New Tattoo Revealed Following SummerSlam 2026

Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk has now gotten a new tattoo in tribute to Larry, as well as another furry friend.

The WWE Title won’t be the only thing Punk leaves Minneapolis with, with the top title holder getting some new ink during his time with Minnesota.

Photos of CM Punk’s new tattoo were shared by @spud.the.cryptid on Instagram, an account for tattoo artist Drue Grahman’s pet dog Spud.

This account explained the special connection Spud had with Punk’s late dog Larry, and the significance of Punk’s new tattoo on his leg, featuring Spud and Larry in a tribute to ET: The Extra Terrestrial, which you can view at the bottom of this news story.

Per the spud.the.cryptid account:

@cmpunk and @theajmendez’s pup, Larry, was the only dog i’ve ever looked at and felt like “yeah i’m pretty sure that’s spud’s soulmate” so it felt pretty special and full circle to have Larry’s dad come get a tattoo from Spud’s dad of the two little cryptid aliens 😭❤️

i never know how spud is going to act around new people (especially men) but the way she was immediately letting him pet her and play says a lot!! spud even got zoomies which was actually crazy because it seems like she only does that when she is somewhere she feels very safe. 🥺 such a sweet and fun day. larry forever!!! ❤️

Grahman also commented on Punk’s tattoo, sharing the following to drubiedoo91:

What a wild world! Had a blast tattooing Spud’s father-in-law @cmpunk yesterday! Thank you Phil for the trust! I did not take the request lightly! Spud and Larry forever! Done@stonearchtattoo

Larry was a rescue dog who CM Punk and AJ Lee adopted in February 2015. He passed away in December 2025.

The beloved dog’s legacy lives on, not only in CM Punk’s tattoos, but also in the fundraiser by Piece Chicago, which raised over $51,000 in support of the Paws Chicago “no kill” animal rescue organisation.

CM Punk currently holds the Undisputed WWE Championship, which he defended against Cody Rhodes during night one of SummerSlam.

He is now set to defend the gold against Kevin Owens, who won the #1 contender’s match which opened SummerSlam night two.
