Dominik Mysterio Reacts To WWE SummerSlam 2026 Loss To Danhausen

Dominik Mysterio has reacted to his loss to Danhausen at WWE SummerSlam on August 2, which saw the star lose out on ‘human monies’.

The ‘Human Monies on a Pole’ match saw Danhausen victorious over Dominik Mysterio, retaining the $100,000 that he had stolen from Judgment Day.

It perhaps won’t come as much of a surprise that interference was plentiful in the match, with JD McDonagh, Joe Hendry and an army of Minihausens making their presence felt.

Unfortunately, for Judgment Day, the ‘human monies’ wouldn’t return to their possession, with Dominik Mysterio sharing his thoughts on what went down in a tweet that featured a gif of Marshawn Lynch in a media appearance at Super Bowl XLIX saying:

“I’m here so I won’t get fined.”

Mysterio wouldn’t provide any additional context to the post, although on follower would note that the star faced AJ Styles at last year’s SummerSlam, retaining the WWE Intercontinental Championship, while 2024 saw the Judgment Day member betray Rhea Ripley and side with Liv Morgan.

For his part, Danhausen would also share a comment on Twitter, with a short video of the star doing angels in the ‘human monies’ along with the message:

“Sorry, Danhausen cannot come to the phone right now; he is too busy enjoying all the human monies and winning summerslams.”

With JD McDonagh having briefly dominated the Minihausens, the star would all make comment on Twitter, stating:

“This must be what it feels like to be Oba.”

That post was accompanied by two images of McDonagh delivering a chokeslam with considerable elevation on his diminutive target.

Highs And Lows Of A SummerSlam Match

When it comes to matches, Human Monies on a Pole was never going to be the most serious of SummerSlam matches, particularly with Danhausen involved, yet it was arguably successful in delivering what it set out to do.

Sandwiched between the Interim WWE Women’s Championship match, which saw Chelsea Green victorious, and the Chad Gable defeating Penta to become Intercontinental Champion, the match served to break the rhythm of two title matches, delivering on the “something for everyone” theme that runs through many professional wrestling offerings.

There’s little doubt that Danhausen has become one of the most entertaining stars on WWE programming, while Dominik Mysterio continues to deliver as a member of Judgment Day. While Hendry also fits that mould, McDonagh’s contribution proves that he is an underrated asset to the men’s roster.

The match may not live on in the memory of some fans as clearly as Mysterio betraying Rhea will, nor does it indicate the direction for the Judgment Day member who still holds the AAA Mega Championship and is no doubt likely to hold more titles over the years ahead.

That said, high stakes and high drama don’t need to be a feature of every match, particularly when it delivers on other levels.

Hopefully, the first Raw after SummerSlam will give some indication as to where Mysterio’s path will take him next, perhaps away from Danhausen.
