During the taping, Lyra Valkyria defeated Xia Li to retain her NXT Women’s Championship.
There was also an angle filmed of Li attacking Valkyria during her entrance, however it is unclear how this will be used, as WWE also filmed an angle of Li attacking Valkyria during the ring introductions ahead of their title bout.
Noam Dar also successfully defended his NXT Heritage Cup against Chad Gable, with the Meta-Four and Alpha Academy having a confrontation after the bout.
Two Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying matches also took place, with Josh riggs and Blair Davenport both punching their tickets to NXT Deadline, with Briggs notably beating Carmelo Hayes to do so, after a distraction from Lexis King (Brian Pillman Jr).
