WWE Star Caught On Leaked Audio Plotting Against Tag Partner WWE

Potential betrayal revealed on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT as new information came to light that could change everything in one storyline.

After Gallus beat Edris Enofe and Malik Blade earlier in the show to retain their NXT Tag Team Championship, a moment near the end of the match raised eyebrows.

With Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo coming out during the match and while it seemed that he was attacking Gallus, he really ended up doing the most damage to their opponents.

Later in a vignette segment, Joe Coffey was seen visiting Tony D’Angelo behind glass and revealed fascinating information.

Saying that he had an audio recording of Stacks that D’Angelo needed to hear, the audio appeared to reveal that not only was Stacks in cahoots with Gallus (including telling Joe to stay away from ringside this week), but also, another stunner.

On the recording, Stacks said that he was done being an underboss and was ready to graduate to becoming “the new Don of NXT”, the moniker previously occupied by D’Angelo who had seen Stacks as family.

The obvious question now is, was it Stacks who was the “rat” all along, getting D’Angelo arrested so he could take over? Unless Gallus pulled something shady themselves to frame Stacks, it sure seems that way.

Ahead of the night’s main event between Carmelo Hayes and Baron Corbin, the Corbin resurrected his Lone Wolf gimmick. You can learn more about that by clicking here.

Elsewhere on tonight’s NXT, there was a controversial match finish as well as a fan favorite return after the first championship bout of the night.

Also an intriguing stipulation was proposed for a big tag team match next week, click here to find out who accepted a ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match challenge!
