‘Bye’ – WWE Star Posts Cryptic Message After Unexpected Loss WWE

A WWE star has posted a cryptic message after a surprising loss on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT (July 25).

On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, there was a kendo stick match between Dana Brooke and Cora Jade after some recent feuding between the pair.

With another young NXT star, Kelani Jordan, running with Dana Brooke in recent weeks, the positive pals seemed to be in for a difficult night with NXT’s ‘resident bad girl’ Cora Jade.

Although as the match unfolded, featuring not only a new look for Dana Brooke (with a Cat Woman style mask upon her ring entrance), but also a new attitude.

With the decidedly more vicious Dana Brooke bringing the pain to Cora Jade, there weren’t just regular kendo sticks, in the end it was a hot pink one that seemed to do in Jade.

Dana Brooke picked up the decisive pinfall victory over Cora Jade in a rather unexpected result.

Afterward on Twitter, Cora Jade posted a single word, writing: “Bye”.

Given there was no further elaboration, it’s unclear what exactly that means at this point, but we’ll keep you posted if there’s a wider story to it.

Dana Brooke is notable as making appearances on NXT despite not actually having been originally announced as having the “free agent” designation, rather having been drafted to the Raw brand in the 2023 WWE Draft.

Other free agents making recent appearances on NXT in a similar vein, such as Baron Corbin and Mustafa Ali, were explicitly noted as having the “free agent” status that affords them the ability to float between the main roster and NXT.

Elsewhere on the show tonight, Rhea Ripley took on Lyra Valkyria in what turned out to be a hard hitting proving match for Valkyria. Despite not picking up the win, she seemed to continue to gain Rhea Ripley’s respect.

After the match, Ripley told Valkyria on camera that if she wants a future title shot, she better beat Jacy Jayne to which Lyra responded with an emphatic, “I will!”

As for Ripley’s ‘Latino Heat’ Dominik Mysterio, he’s now confirmed to be defending the NXT North American Title in a three-way on Sunday at the Great American Bash against both Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali.
