A WWE star has revealed their ambition to cross over into the world of the UFC and compete inside the octagon.
As well as former UFC star CM Punk, WWE stars Montez Ford and Bianca Belair were in attendance at Anaheim, CA’s Honda Center for last night’s UFC 298 event (February 17).
With the couple recently crossing over to the world of reality TV for their show ‘Love & WWE Bianca & Montez’, the question was posed to them by TNT Sports whether they would consider a different crossover into the UFC in the future.
While Belair was not so keen on the idea, Ford on the other hand certainly was.
“100%. Now I do get nervous about messing up this pretty face, you know I do look better in person I know the camera’s a little different.
“But I will say I’ve always been a fan of it, I’ve always trained for it, it was something I was talking about in the last two years about actually going over and having a match.
“You know seeing CM Punk, Brock Lesnar and even Bobby Lashley the guy I’m with now, doing different fighting promotions. So it’s something I have interest in but it got shut down quickly by… Ahem (Looks at Belair).”

Doubling down on these comments, Ford would then hop on Twitter and state, “on record” that he is officially open to an MMA fight.
Ford tweeted:
You miss every shot you don’t take, so I’ll go on record to say that… I AM OPEN TO STEPPING INTO THE OCTAGON.
While it remains to be seen how Ford would do inside the octagon, with WWE and UFC now under the same umbrella in TKO Group Holdings perhaps it’s a possibility.
In other news, Ford has recently had United States Champion Logan Paul in awe of his athletic capabilities – after he attempted to break a record set by the former tag champion at the WWE Performance Center.
