Many NXT fans were excited to see the WWE main roster call up of LA Knight earlier this year after his year on the developmental brand.
When he arrived on SmackDown though, LA Knight was no more. Now known as Max Dupri, he was the founder and CEO of Maximum Male Models, a stark contrast to the popular character he was portraying on NXT.
While Maximum Male Models gained a cult following, a lot of fans, particularly since Triple H took over WWE creative, have been hoping that the LA Knight they know and love from NXT will make a return.
On tonight’s SmackDown show, the male models teamed up with Los Lotharios in a losing effort against the team of Hit Row and the Street Profits, much to the dismay of Max Dupri.
However, WWE uploaded a VERY interesting digital exclusive after the show, showing the Maximum Male Models moping in their locker room, before Max Dupri spoke, telling them that they have to ‘go through the day, to get to the night’. Before signing off with a soft ‘yeah’.
It seems the return of LA Knight may be near.
