On tonight’s WWE SmackDown it certainly seemed as though Butch was strongly considering abandoning his current name.
In a backstage segment that was pre-taped, Tyler Bate approached Butch to chat after their tag team match last week.
While Bate made it clear he wanted to resurrect the duo’s ‘British Strong Style’ team, Butch seemed to be hesitant about his future plans.
Confirming that the Brawling Brutes were over, he told Bate that he was glad he was on SmackDown but that the pair should part ways and do their own thing.
However, when Bate pressed that his longtime friend needed to engage in introspection in order to truly know his next move, his question was intriguing.
Tyler Bate asked Butch what name he would be using as he looked to make this new start, however no answer was confirmed.
However it could end up that Butch moves forward with the current moniker after all as the scene ended on a cliffhanger ending.
Previously Butch was known as Pete Dunne, which he used from 2010 to 2022.
