WWE Stars Attend NJPW Battle In The Valley (Photos)

Former WWE star Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) made her return to the ring at last night’s NJPW Battle in the Valley show.

Mercedes took on KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Championship on the show, defeating KAIRI to become the second ever champion.

This was Mercedes’ first match since her and Naomi walked out of WWE prior to the May 16 episode of WWE Raw last year.

Mercedes obviously has many friends in WWE who were supporting her last night, including three who were in attendance for the show.

Sasha’s former Team BAD stablemates Naomi and Tamina Snuka, as well as former two-time Women’s Tag Team Championship partner Bayley were all in the crowd for Mercedes’ match.

Bayley attended the event wearing a Luchadore mask to attempt to hide her identity, but by the end of the match that had been lost.

Bayley, Naomi and Tamina were not the only interesting names in attendance at the show, as CM Punk was also spotted in the crowd for the show amid his ongoing wrestling absence.
